Hollyhocks (sp). I planted some this year. They grow about 6%26#039; tall and flower all summer.
What perennial flower grows to a height above 4 ft. tall and spreads thickly?
Many of the so called decorative grasses grow well above 4 feet high and spread rapidly.
If you want flowers there are many bushes that have flowers too.
My favorite site for looking up plants is.
